Default I know, another Katana question!

Today I tried standing my bike up. I know I am not on a pure beast here, but I need some advice. After letting out the clutch at 4,500 rpm at a rolling start (bout 5mph) it stands up quit easy. I reach about 3 ft. of air under my front. I know this is probally no where near the "sweet spot" but my question is I run out of rpms very shortly and I can't seem to learn how to let it down softly. Am I letting off to quick because it slams down hard. Is this something I should try in 2nd? I have read post where people can't get a katana up, but I don't have a problem getting it there just keeping it up!

clutch it up higher, faster. bring it up higher and learn to balance it, otherwise you will keep running out of rpm's no matter what. not much else to say, you can get it up but you gotta get it up higher bro. maybe try standing in 2nd and clutching it.
