Default Wow did my first stand up Wheelie!!!!

Ive can only do power sitdown wheelies with my f4i at the moment, I get it to 6.5 rpms pull the throttle all the way back then let out and ride it for like 50 yards until I hit the rev limiter. It got to the point the other week where I could not see the road anymore sitting down and the bike felt like it settle in the balance point. Today I was like F*** it put my left foot on the rear peg, right foot covering the rear brake and did the same thing I always did. The first few times standing up felt wierd but after awhile it got easier to do it. I guess I got it to the balance point becuase the bike was real high, I could see the headlights almost directly in my face, and the bike felt like it settled upright. I can ride it for like 75 yards now. Maybe ill have my friend take pictures tommorow. If Anybody got any tips please post them! I am open for suggestions.

Sounds good so far. Try working on using the clutch to get it up. Keep covering the brake...good to see somebody learnin wheelies the right way. Practice practice.

Ive tried clutching it up, I get the bike up to 6k rpm pull the clutch in alittle bit rev the bike all the way then slowly fan the clutch out. All that happends is the bike jerks forward really hard. Maybe all try second gear bounce ups first?

i just slip/fan the clutch rather quickly. i put left foot on pass. peg, right COVERING REAR BRAKE and fan/slip the clutch quickly. it'll come right up. its kind of hard to explain, but just use one finger and in/out w/ the clutch pretty quick. chances are you're not at true balance point, but keep working at it dude, glad to hear you're getting em up

Anybody have any tips on how to bounce my F4i up. I get it in second gear right below the powerband bounce two times and snap the throttle all the way back. It gets like 6 inches off the ground. I have the rear suspension gas shock all the way to soft. Maybe becuase Im only 120 pounds I am having trouble bouncing them up. Any suggestions?

Me and my friends went down to the warehouses and took some videos. Now I see that I am not quite at the balance point and even though I am standing up I still look retarded.
Almost Stand Up Wheelie

Give me your opinions and suggestions please.

good shit active, but you got a ways to go before balance point. balance point is almost straight up and down, but not quite, like 11oclock or so. its supposed to rain today(thurs) so i dont know if i can get some pics, but by the weekend ill get some pics and/or vid of me at balance point so you can compare. keep practicing and get comfortable with having that front wheel up. leaning back helps too. cover that rear brake! i took this screenshot to show you, take a look at your forks. they need to be about horizontal to be in/near balance point. how long have you been doing wheelies? dont rush it, thats how you get hurt(trust me)...take your time, it will come

be smooth with the clutch, in first gear at anywhere from 10/15mph-45mph i just give it a little slip/fan of the clutch combined with throttle and it stands right up. its hard to explain, if i get a vid up here soon you can listen and maybe that will help

Isn't it easier to do them standing on the pegs? Thats what the 'guide to learning wheelies' says. I ask because I'm getting soo tempted to try.

I was the same way about stand ups. Now that I am doing standups (Kinda) its is alot easier. Its hard to explain but, when you sit down the bike pivots with you, but when you stand up the bike pivots under you and it comes up alot easier.

activematrix, That looked awesome, can't wait to see more vids. I never really thought about standing up in a wheelie just because I feel more comfortable sitting down, but the way you put it made me think otherwise, Thanks. Never thought about it making it easier to pull up.
