Stunterz CornerDo you like to ride a bit different from everyone else? Like to see how long you can ride on one tire? Front or back? Well this is the place for you. All Stunt groups are located here now.
I swear learning clutch ups is about to really piss me off. I get one good one, and everytime after that, the damn thing comes up about 6-12" or spins. errrrrrrrrrr sorry just had to vent. and i've got 30psi in the rear tire, and am slipping it at 4-5k to 10k and lettin it out..
2nd gear bounce-ups i can do on command and ride em out for a good bit (still workin on gettin the balls for BP wheelies though). The bike won't power up 2nd, but i can ride 1st gear power ups
you should be able to bouce it up in second. I have an 04 FZ6 and its also got the r6 engine (detuned a bit) and mine will bounce up in 2nd before my mods. I havent gotten the BP yet.

ill bet you $50 i can bounce your r6 up in 2nd and 3rd. work on your timing, bounce w/ your legs, and wack on the throttle. if you cant do that, try bouncing 2times, on the second bounce, wack the throttle as soon as you push w/ your legs. i recommend clutchin them up, but if you dont want to do that, then bounce. its really just practice, and make sure to cover that rear brake.

so do you do the same thing in 3rd like you do in 2nd on bounce ups? get it to the powerband? i can ride out 2nd and have not yet found BP.
bouncing up in 2nd on my 6 is easy, and i can do them all day... especially with the 15/52 sprockets. 3rd gear i've had no luck up bounce ups except for maybe a couple inches... clutchups i'm about to go work on.
i have gotten 3rd gear bounce ups on my r6. i have found them to be best around 75-81 mph. the catch with third is using more throttle. if i get a long enough straight away with no cars or COPS then i could probally carry it for a good mile.
the only reason you guys arent finding balance point is because your not bringing it high enough. slowly work it up higher and higher each time, cover that reak brake. leaning back helps too.
damn cops.. always in the wrong spots at the wrong time.. I didn't get to practice squat tonight, because my 2 spots that i do most of my stuff at (2 roads about 2 1/2 miles long that are completely straight) were covered by cops. So maybe when i go riding with a buddy 2morrow afternoon i'll try em them.. i did get to try a few 3rd gear clutch-ups, but when i rev'd it to like 10k from 3 or 4k it just pop'd up a bit, i know i need to be going a bit faster so we'll try tommorrow.
body position is a big deal with any wheelie. many times you fight bringin the wheel up with your body position without even realizing it. keep practicing, get used to having the front in the air, and it should eventually come to ya. i got basic 1st gear clutches down in about 4 days; keep at it and let us know how it goes.
will do... i've gotta change the oil in the bike tommorrow, not to mention wash the dirty thing, and i'll be out riding for probly 12 hours 2morrow... so we'll definately get some practice in i hope
