Stolen- 2009 Hayabusa

A buddy of mine was down at Rockingham, NC dragway and was racing his bike this past weekend.
He stopped running for a bit, parked it by his truck and trailer and went to the bathroom and came back and the bike was gone. No, the key was not in it.

I know it is a far stretch, and it probably in a thousand pieces, but it is worth a shot.

I don't think there is anything unusual about the bike to help identify it easier, besides the extended swing arm

Unfortuately there is nothing that really makes it stand out. The bike is chromed out for the most part.

Please let woodbro or me know if you have any info on the bike.

I don't think Rockingham had cameras, and if they did, possibly only in the staging lanes

Wow, that is low. And takes serious balls to steal a bike from the track.

Hope you get some luck on this one, man.

Need a break from this place. Have a good one.

We may have a lead on it, but we are not sure how good it is. Supposedly the guy is well known for stealing busas. If it is true, he is going to wish he never touched the bike.

Hopefully that lead turns out good.

It was probably someone who was at the track that day spectating or maybe even racing. I would talk to the track security and ask if they had names for the people that were there. Last time I went to the drag strip I had to sign a liability form, as a racer and a spectator.

But hopefully that lead works out. Goodluck

Wtf. If there's a place where I'd leave my wallet, keys and all belonging unattended that's the track. Can't believe this shit.

Good luck dude!

Shameful!!!!!!!
Let's hope he has some good insurance.
I've been riding around for many years without theft collision, etc. but now have new bike again and think smart thing to do is get more insurance.

My guess is multiple guys with a ramp and a cargo van. All they'd have to do is pull up, and not even half a minute later they'd be driving away, with the bike completely out of sight where ever they went.

Wow. Seriously, I'd almost risk prison to put this scum or scums within inches of their pathetic, worthless lives. I have absolutely no time for thieves, and this world would be a much better place without them. Kill 'em all.

I feel your pain. I've had a bike stolen and been conned by buying a parted out bike.
This is a first post, so please forgive me for posting a link.
