Sprint ST Life is full of compromises, as are many motorcycles. The Sprint ST, thankfully, doesn't have to make any. It's a sports bike that covers miles, a touring bike that carves corners with a truly usable mix of poise, power and all-round practicality.

Default Heat issues?

So Cycle World tells us that these bikes keep you plenty warm ... are these guys just being picky or do they reallly run that hot? I really like the looks of these bikes, but on the best days the sun provides plenty of heat.

Thanks for the input.

Yes, when you are stuck in traffic or riding around slow it gets warm. So does my Harley, and I'm sure any other bike that has the engine planted between your legs. It has been a great bike. i have owned mine for 6 weeks now and love it. Heat is not an issue. Get one while they're hot

My father has one and it's a great bike, smooth acceleration, comfortable ride, great midrange.. I've never noticed a problem cruising around or in the city with heat. It might put off a little more than my Honda, but not enough that I've ever been bothered, or really noticed in fact.

Default heat

Owned my ST for a year now with ~5000 miles on the odometer. Right leg gets A bit warm from where the exhaust runs up the frame before connecting to under seat muffler. Nothing to stop me from riding hours on end, so it is only a mild annoyance.

I was concerned about this before I bought mine as well but it really hasn't been an issue. It puts of a little more heat than my old EX500 but its also rejecting a lot more heat tot he air so its going to. More power = more heat, no two ways about it.

Edited cause I can't spell!

As everyone else said, the bike does put off some heat - mainly on the right leg, but if you complain to your dealer, there is a fix for it. Not that big a deal. The bike is FABULOUS!

What is the "fix" for it?

My 2007 doesn't have a problem.

Heck, it's way better than my DR650 afas heat
