I think the Yankees will win, but I would rather see the Phillies pull it out.

I haven't watched a full baseball game since they struck back in the early 90's. I lost interest when the money hungry vultures wouldn't play half a season cause they wanted more money.
I wouldn't shed a tear if they cancelled the World Series. It's by far, NOT "America's Game".
Yes but yanks take game 2 at yankee stadium 3-1 was the score if anybody missed it. I am a huge yankees fan and not one of those bandwagoners either I'm originally from ny. I was born Yankee fan and will die a Yankee fan....
It's going to be a good series. New York is the best team money can buy, so it will be intresting to see if they can do it. Nothing like dropping half a billion dollars on free agents after not making the playoffs since 2004. Sports Illustrated or someone else I read had it at $1B, but I figure half that is more reasonable.

Actually, the way it works is...
1) to be a true fan, you must provide proof of loyalty for over 20 years.
2) the team you root for must suck for at least 15 of those years you support them.
3) never in your lifetime can you root for another team... even if your team doesn't make the post season, you're not allowed to cheer for anyone else.
4) you must be careful not to make any positive comment about another team, as this may cause confusion where people think you're jumping off your respective bandwagon.
5) if you live any farther than 2 miles from Yankee Stadium, you may have to prove you're not a Mets fan by your proximity to the venue.
6) if you're Canadian, and you cheer for an American team in any sport, you're fucked because you lack the knowledge of any sport played south of the border, unless it's hockey. Even though you've had WPIX11, KOMO, KIRO4, WGN, WSBK, KTLA, and WUHF FOX for over 20 fucking years and probably get better fucking reception than most households in any town south of the border.
With that being said, I congratulate you on being from NY. Go Yanks!!!
