Well i'm 28 and used to watch baseball with my father since i was 5 and been a fan since then also went to a few Yankee games at yankee stadium...so there's your 20 years lol

If you knew me you would know I would NEVER root for any other team but the Yanks. If they all of sudden went down hill and wound up like the red sox and not win a game or make it to the post season for the 86 years it wouldn't bother me any because i would still be rooting for them to win...Don't get me wrong I'd be pist if we really did sux but i would still be a fan...

Never Have Never will Grey and Blue all the way it runs through veins I don't even watch baseball unless the yanks are playing

That is absolutly true hahahahaha

Just the fact that you took time to dissect that quote into as many parts as you did, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt in terms of "are you a fan", or not Now, having said all that, I'm not of fan of the Yanks or Phils, but I am a National League fan, so GO PHILS

Jesus...Lidge is having a rough f'n year.

Gets two quick outs. So Damon has a good at bat, slaps a pitch into left field..okay no problem.

But then he doesn't check the runner worth a shit, Damon gets a HUGE jump and takes second. And because of the infield shift with Teixeira hitting, he ends up taking third base UNCONTESTED. If Lidge had simply PAID ATTENTION, and done what most 13 year old pitchers know to do (COVER / back up the open base) they wouldn't have been in the situation where he was afraid to throw a slider to Teixeira (because of the possibility of Damon scoring from third on a passed ball). So of course when he pitched ot Arod, he was scared to throw his best pitch, the slider. And that ended with him throwing a FB to ARod...and there ya go.

^ Pretty much nailed it.

Philly is a really good team. New York is close to an all star team. Who else after not making the playoffs for 4 years can turn around and buy not the top free agent, but the TOP THREE in the last off season; Sabathia, Burnett, and Texiera.

Look at the NFL. A salary cap IMPROVES the sport, not hurts it. I wish for one just to see the Pirates, Royals, Indians, etc... matter again. It'd be awesome. Without it, expect to see 5, maybe 6 teams at the top for the next decade.
