sorry but this is coming from somebody who is from NY

yankees. one of the highest payrolls in baseball who get bounced from the playoffs year after year. your team sucks so bad your BEST PLAYER just opted out his contract to leave that shitty team.

knicks. i dont even have to start about how bad they are.

jets/giants. two football teams that will never win a championship within the next 5 years.

I could really care less what any "NY" team does in any capacity, nor could I tell you what they've done in the past ten years or which people (mostly not from NY) they've paid millions of dollars to play silly games against all the other interchangeable teams.

But that's just me.

I might care more if teams were required to recruit from their actual locations.
