college football for 29 sep 07, very upsetting
wow!
it started friday with the bulls stomping the mountaineers and continued through saturday!
the one upset i was really surprised to see was Texas gettin' trounced by k state.
i particularly loved to see auburn beat florida IN florida. i also loved to see that shady ass "timeout right before the kicker kicks" backfire in urban meyer's face. and the kicker taunting the gators after he kicked the field goal. awesome.
now, let' see some beat USC (please).

Yup.
LOVED the Gaytors getting beat in the Swamp. Urban Meyer's timeout stunt was pretty lame, and I'm glad that freshman nailed the kick...again.
I like how the second kick was an even better kick than the first one.
And yes, his mocking the gaytor chomp was fantastic.
The one I was really surprised by was Oklahoma. I thought they were the real deal, and were gonna put about 40 points up every game.

i thought oklahoma was good, but i kind of figured they'd get upset along the way, just not against colorado.
another one that surprised me was penn state ... wtf happened to them? i kind of went with my heart with psu at the beginning of the season (again). i picked them to win a lot of games after the second week even though they really didn't play anybody.

I was shocked by Oklahoma going down but not Texas. Texas has been the most overrated team all season. Even more overrated than my beloved Wisconsin Badgers, who will most likely move into the top 5 by default.
You start out motorcycling with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.

They've been beatable for a long time. They just haven't been getting beat. What makes them a great team is that they seem to be able to pull through under pressure.
The better games seem to be coming up next week...I can't wait. I have some catching up to do.

every team is beatable, but for some reason USC has avoided being beaten. i thought nebraska would have knocked them off, but they didn't even come close. i don't think nebraska was prepared for USC's running game and they paid for it, dearly. when a full back runs 50 yards on their first play, and the tailback running for 40 yards the play after, i'd say they weren't prepared for that.
i agree that they do play well under pressure. it seems they welcome tough environments to play in because it seems they haven't been phased by away crowds.
