The Road to 0-8...
Alright guys.
Every week Notre Dame seems to be finding new and fun ways to make NBC cringe at the exclusive TV deal that they have.
Is there ANYONE here that thinks Notre Dame will win one of their next three games??
Their next three games are as follows:
AT UCLA
#12 Boston College
#1 USC
I don't see any way that they win any of those games. Granted, there's a reason they play the games, but I don't see any chance for the Irish.
They've allowed EVERY opponent they've played this season to score over 30 points on them, while scoring a combined total of 46 points themselves.
They're basically giving up an average of 33 points per game and scoring only 9.
So, who thinks they'll win one of the next three??
If you don't think they'll win one of the next three, when DO you think they'll win??

I voted that they will start out 0-8. I don't think they have a CHANCE of winning until they play Navy...but even Navy and Air Force should be able to handle the Irish.
I really think the only game that they can easily put in the "W" column is their game against Duke.

I'm just hoping Navy is watching the calendar...Forget every thing else...They haven't beaten ND in 42 straight years...This should be the year to end that...I hope..

i am glad they aren't doing well, they have been overrated for years. NBC shouldn't have signed such an extensive contract with them. maybe their CEO is an irish alumn.

There is no way they'll win any one of their next three games. The teams they play are their next three are just too much better than they are. You have to admit though, they are starting to show signs of improvement.
You start out motorcycling with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
Some people are like slinkies; they're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
The funny thing is, you CAN'T write in duke as a win. although they just recently broke their 22 game loosing streak, they are not as bad as they seem.
My reasoning is this:
-They beat a Northwestern team that very easily COULD HAVE, and in my opinion SHOULD have beaten UofM in their game this saturday. NW moved the ball at will up until they got into scoring position, then they would self destruct.
- They only lost to Miami(fla.) 24-10 who would trounce ND.
- They lost 43-46 to an average Navy team (I would say that ND, is below an average team.
- They only lost to Virginia 24-13. Virginia is 4-1 and is a pretty solid team.
- They did get blown out by Uconn 45-14, but Uconn is a surprising 5-0.
Duke is going to be pumped up to actually have a chance to beat ND, no matter how bad of a season ND is having.
By no means am I saying that they will win, but I honestly give them a 50/50 chance.

Well articulated. This is why I want to start watching the games again. There are no more dominant teams, and my favorite team is in need of intensive care.
They need to make a stand against UCLA, or just just take any buy-out offer NBC gives them. UCLA isn't as strong as they should/could be, and I don't think facing B.C. and USC with a 0 in the W column is what you want to do.
But then again, 33-3L against Georgia Tech? Not looking good for anyone except this Michigan State grad
Notre Dame is a terrible team. They have marginal players, a bad coach and no hope for a win in the next few months.

Good job to the two guys that said Notre Dame would pull an upset and NOT end up going 0-8!!
I really thought the Irish were looking at an 0-8 start en route to a 2-10 year...now they might actually end up 3-9!!!!

It wasn't a pretty win when you look at the statistics, but it was a great game to watch. I'm glad I returned it to the wrong channel after half time and caught the half of that game...I was originally watching Florida/LSU.

I tried to find it last night, but I didn't see it listed on ANY channel.
I checked ABC, NBC, CBS, ESPN, ESPN2...was it just a regional game??
