Alright, that makes the SEC 1-4 against NON-SEC Top 25 teams. At best, they can be 2-4 (if South Carolina beats Clemson) and at worst 1-5.
Also notice that the SEC "Powers" of Florida and Auburn played NO games against NON-SEC Top 25 teams. Why not?? Afraid??
The HIGHEST ranked team that anyone in the SEC played was Mississippi State vs (then)#4 West Virginia. Where are the games against Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Boston College and other perennial powers??
Scheduling WEAK non-conference schedules to boost your rankings up and then losing to each other when it becomes apparent that none of your conference teams have any sort of offense does NOT make you the strongest conference in the country...if anything, it makes you over rated.
The SEC is a joke this year. Any team down there would get absolutely manhandled by Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, and probably Oklahoma.
For anyone wondering, this was made using the rankings of teams WHEN they played. Example, if, say, Florida beat Miami WHILE Miami was ranked, then it counts as a win against a Top 25 team, even though Miami isn't ranked anymore. (I know Florida didn't play Miami, it was just an example.)
Discuss!!

I hope the SEC is weak. It's looking like Wisconsin is going to be playing a SEC team in the Capital One Bowl. Here's hoping that Wisconsin blows out whoever they play this year just like they did Auburn last year.
You start out motorcycling with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
Some people are like slinkies; they're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
i wouldnt go as far to say that the SEC is weak. maybe more defense orientated than most others. i think that with their conference play they probably play as many top ranked teams as anyone else on average. theres 12 teams in the SEC and 5 are in the top 25 and 2 more that arent in the top 25 are no punks and can pull out an upset any given saturday

What??? They do too make their own schedules. It is up to a school to make it's own schedule.
You think the NCAA is going to take the time to make schedules for all of the schools in Division IA and such??

I know for a fact that teams pick their own schedules.
Over the last few seasons, Boise State has been TRYING to get some of the larger power house schools to play them in a non-conference game.
But nobody will...and who can blame them?? It's a trap game for a big school. A team like Ohio State would not gain many votes in the rankings if they beat Boise State, but they damn sure would lose a whole bunch if they lost to Boise State.
You hear about "home and home" games all the time. Ohio State and Texas did that this year and last. They set up a home and home series between themselves...one game to be played in Ohio and one in Texas.
These schools are creating their own non-conference schedules. When it comes down to conference play, that's a different story...the conference makes their schedules.

G-diddy is right about the scheduling. Aside from the rankings issue if a high ranked team loses to a not-so-high ranked team, money is a huge factor.
Who would pay Ohio State more to come to their stadium, Boise State (at Bronco Stadium with 30,000 seats) or another school like LSU (at Tiger Stadium with 92,000+ Seats). And for those teams to go to Ohio Stadium, which one will generate more revenue for OSU? It's all about the dollar.
The reason LSU and USC haven't played is because they can't figure out which stadium would bring the most money for each team.

Right, that's another reason...the money (it's always about the money, isn't it??).
A small-time team will many times accept an invitation to play a big-time team simply because of the money.
An example would be Michigan playing Ball State a few weeks ago. Ball State would gladly accept that invitation even though they know they'll probably get slaughtered. Why?? Money. Ball State gets more money by going to Michigan and getting slaughtered on network TV than they would get by playing a team of their own caliber at home...so small teams will usually accept invites to play against larger, tougher, better teams just to get some TV exposure and a little extra cash.

Hey bumblebee...
You talk all this smack about how great the SEC is...but you never bothered to come in here and respond to any of this.
What do you have to say to defend your weak-ass conference and their weak-ass out of conference scheduling??
What do you have to say about your weak-ass conference and their [sarcasm]STELLAR[/sarcasm] out of conference record against Top 25 teams??
Or is it that you can defend how great they are whenever you don't have any of the actual statistics in front of you?

Nah, it's not 10 years.
It's typically 2-3 years.
