Holy Shite! I'ver seen some finishes but this was insane. American Lyndsay Jacobellis takes the lead in the final, one boarder chic crashes through the damn snowfence. This Lyndsay chick has a HUGE lead. Right before the finish she showboats a Method air and wipesout. She looses a huge lead to finish second. First time the event has been in the Olympics and this girl threw the Gold away showing off. Ouch.
"U.S. coach Peter Foley fell onto the ground in disbelief.
He said Jacobellis has always had a tendency to grab her board for stability, although very few U.S. boarders over the two days of racing — which began with American Seth Wescott winning gold in the men's race — were seen doing that.
"Sometimes it's subconscious, but that was putting on a show," Wescott said. "It's one of those things. I did it in my early rides yesterday but you've got to choose your time and make sure you don't miss."
That debate will linger. Either way, it was hard to think the only American rider in the women's finals — one of the best in the world — could blow this one."
You start out motorcycling with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
Some people are like slinkies; they're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
Really a pity for she was doing so darn good. Still when it comes to trying to win so many will push way beyond their ability, but then that is what makes one a peobable winner or one that finished low on the list of competitors. All of these competitors are pushing it beyond the maximum.
