Don't wanna stand infront of LaBanner to long either ... clicky Jerome has challenged Tim Sylvia to 2 fights one in K1 and one in the UFC. So far Sylvia has talked a bunch of crap and seems to be ducking the fight. Sylvia does have a fight against AA coming for the title and LeBanner said he will wait to fight after that, but Sylvia said the only way would be in the Octagon only. I think it would be a great fight to watch ...
Jerome Lebanner has accepted Sylvia's counter to an MMA fight in the cage only, he released a report a few days ago, sorry the link escapes me at the moment. in it he counters a few points people have made against him. mainly about why he didnt challenge Arlovski, and only picked the (arguable) #2 heavyweight in the UFC. he seems to be very down to earth about his MMA skills and said he didnt challenge Arlovski because he just is nowhere near ready for the challenge. he went on to say that the reason he challenged Sylvia is because his stand up skills are extremely overrated and he is tired of people making him out to be some striking master.
personally, LeBanner anihilates Sylvia when it comes to pure striking, but he seems to have adapted to MMA fairly well. i hope they can this fight to work out. i hope LeBanner destroys Sylvia only because he has said he will only fight him in a MMA fight in the cage, and not a K-1 fight. his stipulations just show that he is scared. he knows he'll get destroyed in a K-1 fight, so he'll avoid it like the plague. yet Lebanner is willing to participate in both a K-1 and UFC rules bout

I was reading more about it after I posted this yesterday, I agree LeBanner seems very down to earth and really wants this fight. He also commented on how the American fans have been very receptive to him, and that Sylvia has been talking sh*t and been desrespectful, where all he did was ask for 2 fights. I really hope this happens.
