Default Peyton Manning, the next Dan Marino?

Pathetic, and not his play either. And no class! As the general out on the field, you don't throw your offensive line under the bus. They were not the problem, he was. Damn evil monkey on his back, or whatever.....He's gonna break more records than Dan Marino, but will not get a ring just the same.

To me it looked like the defense was more to blame. I realize they had almost 2 months since they clinched, but they made the Steelers look good.

Correction, the steelers made them look bad. We came to play and they were rusty.

Ive NEVER been a fan of Manning, but that shit he pulled on his coach when Dungy decided to punt of 4th and 1 and Manning sent the punt team off the field was arrogant and disrespectful to his coach and pretty much made me dispise him now. I dont care that they converted the 4th down it was still wrong.....bottom line. and I wouldnt compare Marino to that arrogant asshole. Manning is a FANTASY league star and thats it.

I'm making the comparison only because Marino never got his ring. He still owns many NFL records, even though that number is dwindling. Manning will probly break many of Dan's records, but he'll never get his ring either!!! Very fitting for such a jackass, he played just as bad as the rest of the team, and to blame everyone else is horseshit.

Not saying that Manning is a great quarterback, but a lot of great QBs have over ruled there coach at some point in there career. It pays off sometimes and they are the hero, and sometimes things don't go the way they planned. About saying it was the lines fault, wait until next year starts. If I was a lineman I would let one get through at least once, then while he was still on the ground I would ask him if we still had a protection problem. I think that the Colts were way overrated. They had a good season but they got out played that last game.

I love watching the Colts lose. Unfortunately, next year wil be much the same, every annoucer feverishly blowing Manning the entire game.

And what was up with that reversal on the Polamula pick...total B.S.

I took that completely different. I thought it was stellar of Manning to do that. He understands his offense better than any coach. Only seasoned quarterbacks should be able to do that though. Who's to question him? He's an MVP?

Exactly^. Mike put on his smart cap today.

U think Manning is arrogant, take alook around at the rest of the qbs in the league. Everyone dropped the ball, but the Off-line was the most at fault. Bottom line is, their offense wasn't up to par and their defense could not stop the run until it was way too late. oh and special teams, yeah, Vanderjagt choked again. real clutch he was.

I am a huge Indianapolis Colts fan, and have been since 1984 when they moved to town (my home town, Indianapolis). I have also been a fan of the players on that team for some time now - you just don't get that kind of class out of players around the league.

However, Peyton's outburst against his offensive line, and the overall performance of teh offense in general - Peyton included - has made me see a side of my football heroes that I hoped I would never see.

I am still a fan of the organization, and I wish the organization well. However, I have lost respect for Peyton as a person. I think that Edgerin James did all he could, but I look to seeing him on another team next year anyway. Marvin's days are probably numbered. And forget about Vanderjagt - he just kicked his last as a Colt.

The defense, obviously, needs some help in the backfield.

...and what the hell is this about Harper's wife "accidentally" stabbing him in the leg? I tell ya, these athletes and their "baggage" - c'mon!

Maybe next year.

I think just like you. That move, to me, just looked like he believed he was smarter than the coach, and the coach couldn't tell him what to do. If I was the coach I would have at least pulled him aside and told him to never do it again. Tony Dungy has been around a lot longer than Payton has and he knows what to do in the situations they are in. And for Manning to blatantly disrespect that is just wrong.

Wait and see how they do when Reggie Wayne and Edge are lost to Free Agency. Manning will have his work cut out for him then. This was the year. Not next year.
