Default Brett Favre

Now that the football season, for the Packers anyway, is coming to a close, I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are on Brett Favre's future. Do you think he should retire or keep playing? What do you think he will actually do? Does he have another playoff season left in that seasoned arm of his?

Personally, I want to see him play another season. He can probably throw the ball farther than most other qb's in the league, and his athleticism this year was an improvement over the last couple, due to hiring a personal trainer and changing his diet. I don't know if he will stay on however, unless the Packers can get a decent offensive line in front of him. Whatever the outcome, I'll be sad to see him go when he does.

This whole thing was brought on by the fact that I realized I won't get to watch post-season football with MY team in the playoffs for the first time in five years. Ok. Carry on.

I think he should retire and become Rex Grossman's butler. Kinda like a Seinfeld type sitcom.
Sorry I couldn't resist.
Lifelong Bears fan but I do have uber respect for Favre. He has made football better and he's an amazing competitor

If T.O. signs with the Packers, Brett Favre will play one more season trying to go out on top. Packers need to get a #1 reciever or Farve might as well retire.

I think Farve should retire. He really has nothing else to prove. Couple of Super Bowl rings, pro bowls, consecutive games played. The man will be a first bid Hall of Fame.

My favorite Farve moment was that Monday Night Football game that he threw for almost 400 yards... not a day later than his father passed away. He's a competitor. Can't say anything more that what's already been said. I think he's done after two weeks. Prob. be next to Shannon Sharpe in the analysis booth.

Personally, I think Favre has accomplished enough in his career that it's his decision to make on whether he should retire or not. He's not playing because he has something left to prove. He's playing because he still loves to play the game.

Umm, F-a-r-v-e should of retired a few years back. Every years that he continues to play, he simply blemishes his career/legacy more and more. Dumbass.

Damn, you really are brain-dead. The man had 30 TD passes and 4088 yards last year, with a QB rating of 92.4. The year before that her threw 32 td passes, 3361 yards, and QB rating of 90.4. Yeah, those are washed up numbers if I've ever seen them.

I should probably cut you some slack though. Chicago hasn't seen a good QB since.... have they ever had a good QB?

Calm the fuck down there fireball....So u would rather have Favre playing for the recordbooks than playing to win championships? Thats makes U retarded my friend. Thats like if I would rather see my home team the Colts go undefeated through regular season and lose in the playoffs over going 15-1 and winning the Superbowl. Oh, and the Bears had a good QB......20 years ago.

You honestly think Favre is playing for records? The only thing Favre is playing for is the ring, plain and simple.

And as far as McMahon being a good QB, take a look at his career stats sometime and show me what makes him such a good QB.

BTW, I ain't your friend.

And make sure to leave out the 39 combined and counting interceptions this year and last year. I never said he couldn't make the stats happen. Sure u play long enough ur gonna break records. Its when breaking those records become the only reason to play that the story becomes sad.

Find me an article, video, recording, whatever that indicates that Favre is playing for records. Trust me, you won't find one so I think you're going to need to find another dead horse to beat.

HAHA, yeah that's his call isn't it. I never knew Favre was not only the Packers starting QB, but he's also their GM!!! Now I'm really puzzled why they drafted Aaron Rodgers. Man you are lost.
