Well, when you have some yahoo trying to claim that one player is better than another, you tend to bring up things like stats.
Manning has BETTER stats than Favre.
If that same yahoo keeps claiming that one player is better than another, then you find other faults in that player.
Favre was an addict. Manning has never been.
I'm not the one that's saying that one is great and the other isn't. I acknowledged that Favre is a great player...and so is Manning. There's one person in this thread that just keeps harping that Manning is over rated. Maybe if he'd take Favre's cock out of his mouth so he could look around, he'd realize that both players are great QBs...but he just keeps talking trash about one player...then when I bring up a relevant fact about Favre, it apparently hurt his feelings...

I will say it again...
Favre is a great QB. Definitely one of the Top 7 of all time, in my opinion.
Manning is also a great QB. I think that Manning will end up being one of the Top 3 of all time.
Saying that Manning is over-hyped is just someone being a hater...and not knowing how to look at stats.

"not as of this week for this current season"

"Not as we know of at this time. For all we know Manning could have a child porn ring operating out of his house"

um, im not talking trash like you, it is on record what manning doing so far this season. yes favre had a problem and he has it under control.
As for the blow job that you are talking about. You know that I had a opinion, and I produced facts to show who is the better qb so far this season, as you on the other hand have to resort to being crude trying to get your point across. Im not going to lower myself to your level. Because if I do, when Im done with you, you would be my dogs bitch! Piss off!

I like how you claim that you provided facts to show that you were right...when, oh, 3 pages ago I provided stats from both QB's careers.
Go back and read post #68. There's the facts that I provided to back up my side of this issue, which is a good 15 posts earlier than any stats that you provided.
...yet you ignored that post...
...and, you continued to claim that Manning is hype.
I guess you're right, he is all hype. Forget that for his career he's statistically better than Favre...forget that he hasn't had any "substance abuse" issues...forget that he's won just as many Superbowls as Favre...forget all of that.
You're right. Manning is just hype.

But you need to have more than just numbers to be considered a great player. Yeah the numbers are in Mannings favor, but Favre has played in more games. Let see if Manning can last that long and if his numbers continue to stay the course or weaken over time. Im done with this btw.

That is about the first valid point that you've brought up.
That is the reason that I consider Favre a great player. Yes, he's got pretty good numbers. Yes, he's a leader. But what sets him apart is the fact that he's been tough as nails for YEARS now, and NEVER gave up. Even when his critics all wanted him to quit, he just kept playing.

Finally, I can agree with everything you've said in this paragraph. +1
In a league where the average player's career is 11-12 years, Favre's durability and 15 years of play speak volumes.
Ok, I just received this in an email and I had to post it.. For those of you that like Favre, you'll appreciate this. For those of you who don't, I'm sure I'll get a couple of middle fingers
God asks Peyton Manning first: 'What do you believe?'
Peyton thinks long and hard, looks God in the eye, and says, 'I believe
in hard work, and in staying true to family and friends. I believe in
giving.
I was lucky, but I always tried to do right by my fans.'
God can't help but see the essential goodness of Manning, and offers him
a seat to his left.
Then God turns to Tony Romo and says, 'What do you believe?'
Tony says, 'I believe passion, discipline, courage and honor are the
fundamentals of life. I, too, have been lucky, but win or lose, I've
always tried to be a true sportsman, both on and off the playing
fields.'
God is greatly moved by Tony's sincere eloquence, and he offers him a
seat to his right.
Finally, God turns to Brett Favre: 'And you, Brett, what do you
believe?'
Brett replies, 'I believe you're in my seat.'

If T.O. signs with the Packers, Brett Favre will play one more season trying to go out on top. Packers need to get a #1 reciever or Farve might as well retire.
Why would TO sign with the Packs? Dude come on.... Get real... Cowboys are the cream of the crop in the NFC. Plus, it's a whole lot warmer in Dallas and Tony Romo is the new Favre imo.
