What point are you trying to make about Aaron Rodgers not playing this year? What I'm getting out of it is you brought him up out of the blue because we were discussing that Green Bay drafting him means Favre has no influence on who is drafted. To me, if Favre had any influence on who Green Bay drafted, I seriously doubt he was tell management that they need a good back up QB when they really need defensive help. But this doesn't seem to be getting to you because you can't get past the fact that Favre isn't playing for records.
Tell you what, you find me anything that indicates that Favre is playing for NFL records, and I'll believe any bullshit you make up.

I haven't really watched much of the Packers this year but tonight he just looks like he doesn't care. I mean twice already I've seen him just throw the ball up for grabs down the field. Once was intercepted by Deion Sanders. Then Madden said he has 23 interceptions this season. Thats almost 2 a game. Favre was a really good qb but I think it's time for him to give up.
Oh and about Rodgers, didn't Favre say it wasn't his job to teach the new guy at the beginning of the year. I think he is just about done with his career.

He'll play again next year, and the year after that probably. As long as it takes to get those records...

For example, the Packers are obviously going to lose this game. So what would a smart team do, oh I don't know, maybe give ur backup some gametime to work on his skills and so he can actually have some game time under his belt for when he takes over the starting spot. Nah, I don't think so, Bretts gotta get them stats, win or lose (mainly lose)!

Travis, seriously, all those years that Farve and the Packers kicked your teams ass has really left you a little bitter. Kinda how I felt about the Eagles during the Buddy Ryan years (I'm a Cowboys fan). Farve is one of the toughest competitors and classiest QBs in the league. If Green Bay had a good line in front of him next year, he probably could take them back to the playoffs. Okay, add a defense that could actually stop a one-legged runner and he could do it. I think that he should retire. He's accomplished everything that's out there.

I know but I have never once discredited or said anything bad about Favre. If u look in my 1st post I say he is blemishing his legacy. Shitty QBs dont have legacys. He a great QB, one of the best ever, but hes still playing for the record books.

Madden said that Favre isn't and wouldn't base his decision to retire on stats. He said nothing about whether he was returning next year or not. That's ok though, just keep trying to twist everything I post to make yourself look better. It's actually just making you look more and more like a jackass.
And you say you never said anything bad about Favre in this post? The seventh post in this thread you called him a dumbass.

He is playing for championships. He said during last year's season, he wanted to play for a ring, see story: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/7920413
"The Packers' 1-4 start and four-game losing streak following Favre's training-camp "Super Bowl or bust' proclamation..."
In EVERY interview I've ever watched where they've asked Brett about playing for stats, he said they don't matter, that he doesn't always pay attention to them, that he loves the game, and that when he stops having fun is when he'll stop playing. Never does stats factor into his answer, except for that they're not a factor in his decision to play. Get your facts straight, retard.

blaming Brett Favre fo rthe packers losing season shows complete ingorance of the game of football. i'm not saying that shoe fits anyones foot, i'm just throwing it out there.
changes in the offensive line hurt the pack quite a bit. the lack of protection means a lot of passes are rushed. the lack of running lanes means more passing. the injuries to the receiving core mean less familiarity and receivers that don't know their routes. more passing, more rushed passes and missed/blown routes mean more picks. does brett toss up some stupid passes? yup. he always has. the difference is that he used to have receivers that could either catch the ball or defend the pick. they don't have that this year.
one thing has remained the same this year. bretts ability to throw the ball and read the defense. its somethings thats learned, its not lost. most QB's when they retire realize that they just aren't quick or fast enough to respond. remember Marino's last game? brett hasn't lost that step yet. he hasn't lost his arm the way Boomer and Kelly did. he still has the tool to be an effective quarterback provided the packers can surround him with good players. its a task all team face, really.
should he come back? i'm torn. i know HE still has the ability to win. i don't know if the packers want to go out and surround him with good players. getting Walker back and a healthy Franks will help. Green and Gado together could be the 1-2 punch the packers need for their running game. they need to fix the middle of their offensive line and go out and get a good, and i mean GOOD, cornerbacks and safeties. not these short, ex-receivers at the corners and undersized linebackers at safety. their secondary needs people that have a passion for picking passes and shutting down opposing wideouts.
if they can make those changes i'm all for him coming back. if they can't/won't he should quit now while his health is still intact. i don't want to see brett on the sideline drooling and glassy eyed the way Aikman and Young were when they got retired from the game.

Ur still an idiot. "Ohh, but, but, u called him a dumbass" I just did that to piss ur silly ass off. Now try and find one where I say anything about his gameplay other than the fact that he throws an ton of interceptions, thats just cause he takes chances though, right?

He has a ring, should have two. If he was playing for a ring, he'd retire after this year, cause I don't think a superbowl is in the Packers near future. The Packers need to do something called rebuilding. Its what a team does when their quarterback (only star) is on his way out and the rest of the team sucks ass as well.
