Thats all that the articles talk about! "Favre, if he plays one more season he'll break Marino's record, Elway's record, blah, blah, blah." He's playing for two reasons, and if u'd open ur simple minded little brain a bit, u'd see its for the love of the game......and breaking records. He's got a ring, he should have 2. The time of Green Bay being a force in the NFL, or NFC, or even the NFC North is Christmas Past Jake. Its OK. They can be rebuilt, we have the technology. |

Every interview you see with Favre where he's asked about records and retirement, all he talks about is how he can leave the game right now with no regrets because he has accomplished it all. He says himself that when he feels he can no longer play at the level he knows he's capable of, then he'll walk away. He also says that he doesn't want to be one of these guys that doesn't know when to hang it up and then just hang onto and around the game. He says when he's done, he's done. You will not see him around football as a coach, analyst, nothing. That to me doesn't sound like a guy who's playing for records.

I think that's his decision. Me personally, if the season was completely my fault, hell yeah. But with all the injuries Green Bay has suffered this year, you can't squarely put the blame on Favre. I'd want to go out a winner.

Thats not the point, ur arguing that Favre has no pull and the drafting of Rodgers is proof of that. I'm saying Favre DOES have PLENTY of pull and if a ring was what he is after, it would being evident in their roster. |

What? Does what you just said make any sense to you? You just said Favre has no pull which is evident with the drafting of Rodgers. Then you said that he has pull because they did draft Rodgers. So are you saying that Favre wants to lose because they did draft Rodgers?

Last year they finished 10 - 6 in the regular season and Favre had a great year. They also returned all of their big name players on offense. Are you telling me that you could have predicted that their season was going to turn out the way it did after seeing that?
