Default Longhorns kick ass.

Just stating the obvious. Havn't had a chance to do that lately, and since I noticed we just got a sports seciton back, I figured a Texas Longhorns thread would be the best way to kick it off. Looking forward to a victory in the Rose Bowl

Guys, guys, guys....you give Texas WAY too much credit here.

Yes, UT is pretty freakin' spectacular but who have these guys faced this year? Oh, that's right...NOBODY. Yep, I'm a dick for saying it, but it's true, the 'Horns have faced shitty competition all year.

Not saying that USC will waltz away with the crown this year, but I think they'll win it. I've said it all year: Texas has yet to face an offense remotely as powerful as the Trojans', and USC has defensive woes to overcome.

I predict it thus: USC 38, Texas 35, with the winning field goal coming in the final minute.

Texas faced Ohio State on the road when OSU was rated #6 in the country. I think the Buckeyes could probably beat USC.

Something that will help Texas a little is if Reggie Bush has ANOTHER of his games where he rushes for UNDER 100 yards. He's had 4 already this season. I bet he can choke good and get his 5the of this year. I wonder how many other Heisman winning running backs have run for under 100 yards in 1/4 of their games in the year that they won. But that's the start of a whole nother thread. Straight up, Texas will win. They will have the game locked up sometime in the third quarter. Leinart is a pussy, Bush is overrated, and USC's defence isn't strong enough.

I can feel alot of trash talking coming up between now and Jan 4th.

Man, lemme tell ya, that was a hell of a game, true, but OSU's offense just flat sucks. I don't buy the b.s. about Texas being an extraordinary defensive team. It's pretty easy to hold an opponent under 25 points when they (the opponent) struggles with offense in the first place.

I really don't give a rip who wins this baby, all I wanna see is a good game. I hope the 'Horns win it just to shut my family (ALL OU FANS AAAGGGHHH!!!) up, but I hope 'SC wins it so that we will see history: three straight national titles.

Texas did shut down A&M though. A&M is one awesome team to watch when they are on offence. They can easily move the ball with all the passing they do. Unfortunately they couldn't do it against Texas. Some may not give A&M the credit they deserve, but they can be an explosive team at times. Definately one to watch in the next 2-3 years.

I think you mean Texas Tech, but yes, when they get into a rhythm, watch out. They dismantled my team, KSU.

Oh, come on mang!! A&M?!! Ha!!

I will say this though: if A&M could get some semblance of a defense, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them win the conference title.
