That was posted about a year ago, but I'm glad more poeple get to see it now. I never get tired of watching it! In most cases these guys even crash more gracefully than I will ever be able to do anything, at least until they hit the gravel traps !.

New to the sport, don't have a bike yet so forgive my noobness plzthx
I've noticed that at least half of those crashes were in the corners. Now correct me if my hypothesis is wrong, but I see the rear tire slide out and then I guess the riders instinctively stops accelerating which allows the rear to catch traction again. When this happens the front and the rear tires are out of alignment resulting in the bike re-aligning itself causing that jolt which sends the poor soul over the handlebars.
What are they doing wrong that slides the rear out in the first place?

That sounds pretty accurate. Known as a "high side". I'm not a racer, but sometimes you just lose traction. Probably a multitude of reasons, though. Old tires, slippery track, just too much throttle..... the list goes on, I'm sure.
Great vid, though. I agree with the one toward the end in the grass. Just got bucked off like at a rodeo.
That was great. Good mix of low- and highsides! Most of the riders react perfectly when going down, maybe with one or two exceptions. Let go of the bike, stay on your back, tuck in and don't try to get up until your stopped.
