You start out motorcycling with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
Some people are like slinkies; they're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
I dunno. I spent a week driving around Italy last summer and the speed limit didn't seem like anything but a suggestion. I had my foot close to the floor most of the time in my Alfa rental on the Autobahn and had Porsches and Beamers flying past me constantly. I never once saw the Polizea on the Autobahn. The only time I saw them was in the big cities directing stop/go traffic or watching out for major crime.
There's also a great Kawasaki Europe commercial showing a Z750S flying through the Alps at triple digit speeds, something that would be forbidden in the US. If I could attach a wmv file I would post it.
You won't see a cop on the autobahn unless your not gettign out of the way of faster traffic. The speed limit is pretty much a suggestion, but if you are getting pulled over they take it very seriously. I would like to check out that commercial though.

Those were German Polizei not Italian Polizia, so I would speculate that the commercial is not Italian. Most Germans speak English so that may explain the English, but my guess is that it is actually a commercial that aired in England.
