I've got a TL1000R, I love the piss out of this thing! Talk about shaaaweet!!!! The front wheel floats in the first 3 gears to the point you have to back off so you don't wheelie! The sound is like no other, I've been to plenty of bike nights, everyone has to come up and talk to me about the TL, sure there's a few ducati's, maybe an RC51 or so, maybe an SV, but the TL attracts all sorts of people, and the one's that know the bike are like "Damn I wouldn't know what to do with all that torque"
Ahhhh.... aint nothing like the sound of a v-twin, brother!

The act of riding is a form of meditation, because the concentration that's required to safely ride a motorcycle tends to focus the mind in a way that eliminates other mental distractions that might interfere with the mission. This creates a single-mindedness that, in effect, displaces the continuous stream of thoughts that normally flow through our consciousness.

I love my TLR. It's godawful loud, it doesn't like to idle. It belonged to a fat guy that wheelied it before i bought it. I have electrical issues.
But thru all that, I fucking LOVE that bike. It's just brutal. Try to ride it like an inline four and you'll just flip it over. She is not very forgiving if you get ham fisted with the throttle. It's a bike that demands respect coming out of corners.
But it's also a great bike for lazy riding. No tap dancing on the shifter- stick it in 4th and it'll putter thru traffic or have you ripping along well over 100MPH. It's a true point and go type of bike.
I just can't see me trading that thing for any other liter bike, unless it's a newer v-twin. Just lost interest in inline fours after owning a twin.
