Tankbags - what do you recommend, and why?

I have been looking for a new tang bag since the beginning of the riding season, just something to pack a couple of days worth of necessities, and maybe some other small items. I like the Marsee bags, but am not ready to part with $140 for a friggin' bag! I want to find a quality bag, and not pay a lot of money.
Does anyone love or even hate their tankbags, and why for either way?
I have been using a backpack for the last 3 years, and for small stuff, it's ok...but for comfort, it sucks! I guess that's why I'm asking my riding brothers and sisters for their opinions.

Check out what Tour Master has to offer. I believe they have a website, or do a search. I don't have any kind of storage on my bike and needed a way just to carry the basics, it is small enough that I can take it on every ride, and it expands so I can put enough stuff in there for at least a few days. I did a overnight trip with out having to expand it and still had room.

Make sure if it expands that it unzips at the top and not the bottom. When they expand from the bottom they get top heavy and lean over.

Go for a magnetic tank bag. They offer alot of space and remove easily. Try this site. http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/p....asp?ManId=175 I have the Riverroad one bag and love it. I use the big bag all the time and can also use the little one by itself as a tail bag without having to have a bag on my tank at all.

I use a Nelson Rigg that I paid $70.00 for. It is pretty compact, but does expand out enough the carry the essentials for an overnight trip. It is magnetic, and is stable on the bike even when expanded (tested up to 130 mph).

I use HELD Tank bag, I bought from newenough.com for $39.00, it's non-magnetic, which is okay, since I have a plastic tank cover. Just a word to the wise, if you buy a magnetic tank bag, don't put a lap top computer in it, you'll trash the HD!

I have the Joe Rocket which has the magnetic base (map holder), large bottom, and smaller top (also a map holder), so it's a three piece. I rarely use the top bag, but it holds quite a bit when I need it. The only thing I would change is to have put a map holder on the bottom bag also. It also has a water-proof bag included.

Online it's around $150 (last time I went looking) but I picked it up at the bike show in NYC for $100.

I use a Famsa bag. It is the best bag I have ever had. Comes in magnetic or strap base, or fitted for some models. The fitted non-magnetic versions have a hole cut in the base so that you dont have to take it off to fuel up, you just unzip the bottom bag 1/2 way and flop it over. It is very durable and holds a crapload of stuff.

Some pics of it on a Tuono, and the link at the bottom is for www.bikerworldusa.com or something like that. Sells for about $160, but well worth it IMHO.

I have/use a Bagster tank cover and bag Nice - Won't fall off, good capacity, flips right up for refilling, reasonably water resistant and comes with a W-proof cover, the tank cover is matched to the bike's color. (And graphics if you have any..)

The bag itself is their 'City' bag - Which I Bought 'cos the Alpha was way too big for everyday use. It's a little tall, which means I can't tuck in, but it's narrow, so it doesn't interfere with me moving around the bike.

I have a HELD from newenough.com as well. The close out prices were nice and the bag is great. Mine has the removeable base so that you can use the base which works best for your ride. When expanded you have to be careful to keep the heavy stuff low in the bag. Easily holds two gallons of milk while playing grocery getter.
