Default Got a great deal on a tank bag.

So I have been watching these Ebay auctions for a few days. One was for a NWT Cortech TriBag tank bag and one was for a slightly smaller NWT Cortech 21 Liter tank bag. The TriBag was the one I wanted, but could have easily settled for the 21 Liter. Both were listed at $70 or $75 BIN plus $10 shipping. The BIN prices were actually both pretty good, especially consdeing the TriBag usually sells for well over $150 online.

I kept watching them and no one was bidding. I went into town tonight and completely forgot about the auctions until I was coming home. I got home about 20 minutes after the TriBag auction ended. The 21 Liter still had 40 minutes. I though about just getting the 21 Liter, but I figured I'd take a stab at contacting the seller that had listed the items.

I contacted the seller and offer to buy the TriBag for $60 plus $10 shipping. I got a reply back within 5 minutes saying that they would do that. They posted a new auction with the lower BIN price and I purchease the bag and paid for it right away. Got a reply back saying that it will ship out tomorow.

I wanted to buy that bag for $70 plus the $10 shipping, but I guess my forgetfullness paid off and saved me $10 today.

For those that don't know the bottom bag holds 24 liters and the top bag zips together and holds an additional 10 liters. LINK TO BAG INFO

The tank bag is in addition to the Cortech TtiBag saddlebags I have (LINK 20 liters per side) and my new Nelson Rigg RTB-500 Rear Tote/Tail Bag (LINK 33 liters) which I just got a week or two ago. So all together that's 107 liters of storage. If I can't pack what I need with me, perhaps I should reconsider going.

that's a good deal on the tank bag - but I am curious why you got the NR tailbag and not the matching Cortech Tribag tailbag? I couldn't get any pictures when I followed your NR link.

I've used that tribag setup before on long rides. I drop my SLR camera bag and a bottle of Plexus in the bottom bag on a regular basis. If you want an interesting change of positions, you can put your chin on the top bag and relax just a little bit... just for a little bit... because you're getting sleepy... sleepy...

WTF? Who snapped their fingers!

I definately looked at the Cortech tail bag, but opted for the NR just because of a couple of the features I liked better, and the overall design. Not a big deal to me that they don't match. The tail bag still fastenes together to the Cortech saddlebags using the quick release buckles, so it will work great. Here is a quick pic of that tail bag.
