Sport–touring is about going places and seeing things.
Where did you end up going to in 2005?

o July: my first ever Iron Butt ride though Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota
o August: 5 day tour of the New England traveling though Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine
o September: 2 day ride Chicago to East Pennsylvania and back
o October: Femmoto in Las Vegas, NV
o December: 2 days of riding my friend’s bikes north of LA
Sonoran desert, Arizona in March
Mojave desert California in March

Spent three days riding around south western Wisconsin last Summer. Less than 1000 miles total, which isn't all that impressive. But it was a great trip and has me thirsting for more sport touring.

I do a lot of weekend tours in that direction, really nice roads (for the midwest).

Don’t let that stop you from doing it. Plan the trip, tell people about it, and some might be interested enough in going. If not you go alone, it's still fun. That’s how I started.

Spent a weekend touring through the Adirondacks. That was the best weekend of the summer. I will do that trip again this summer and mix in a few more. I didn't do enough long trips in 2005 and I've vowed not to let that happen again.
