Default Where did you go in 2005?

Sport–touring is about going places and seeing things.

Where did you end up going to in 2005?

I did about 30K miles in 2005. A bunch of weekend tours around the Midwest, and a few longer trips and events

Here are some highlights from 2005

o March: 7 day tour of Arizona, California and Nevada
o May: 4 day ride out to West Virginia traveling though Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky
o July: my first ever Iron Butt ride though Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota
o August: 5 day tour of the New England traveling though Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine
o September: 2 day ride Chicago to East Pennsylvania and back
o October: Femmoto in Las Vegas, NV
o December: 2 days of riding my friend’s bikes north of LA

Sonoran desert, Arizona in March

Mojave desert California in March

West Virginia in May

North Dakota doing the saddle sore 1000 in July

New England in August

2005 was fun year of riding for me. My favorite trip was a circle tour of Lake Huron. Northern Ontario is very beautiful.

Here are some pics....

I rode over to Road America for the Superbike races. That was the only long trip I took. I need a better seat and a Throttlemeister.

Other than that I did a lot 250-300 mile day trips all over lower central Michigan.

Spent three days riding around south western Wisconsin last Summer. Less than 1000 miles total, which isn't all that impressive. But it was a great trip and has me thirsting for more sport touring.

I do a lot of weekend tours in that direction, really nice roads (for the midwest).

Don’t let that stop you from doing it. Plan the trip, tell people about it, and some might be interested enough in going. If not you go alone, it's still fun. That’s how I started.

Default Adirondacksah

Spent a weekend touring through the Adirondacks. That was the best weekend of the summer. I will do that trip again this summer and mix in a few more. I didn't do enough long trips in 2005 and I've vowed not to let that happen again.
