I wasn’t looking for one, but once I planted the seed in my head that I wanted it, I couldn’t talk myself out of it. They were on end of season clearance, $1,500 off sticker price and I like a good sale
This is my first real sport touring bike, a 2005 Ducati ST3. I still have the 954 and I will still tour on that one too
I'm still waiting for my hard luggage, which comes w/ the bike... mine some how got delayed... somewhere.

That's a great looking bike! I'll be really interested to hear from you how this bike is in terms of reliability. One of my friends went by a Ducati dealer the other day, and the mechanic said "Don't buy one of these if you want something dependable... people spend thousands per year just for maintenance." Not trying to get you down, I really hope you have great luck and get many years of good service out of this bike, but I'll be interested to hear about your reliability. Good luck and congrats!

That's cuz your valve adjustment and such at the 6200 mile service runs around 600 or 700 if its cheap.
Comfort – excellent
Handing – excellent
reliability - too early to tell
It’s not a crotch rocket but it’s a fun bike, light enough, fast enough.
I just came back at 1AM this morning from Eastern Pennsylvania, I did 1400 miles in 2 days on the ST3 and I’m walking normal today. It's got 2200 miles on it now and I bought it 11 days ago

Good show, Vivid! Use that bike for what it was made for!
I bought my Dodge truck a year ago Saturday (9/10) and had 1600 miles on it within 48 hours of picking it up from the dealership. I picked it up in Dallas on Friday night, went straight to San Antonio to spend Saturday with my girlfriend, and then drove the 1100 miles back to Indiana on Sunday. As of today it's got 61,972 miles on it (the 35,000 miles of towing this summer certainly didn't hurt that number...). The ST3 will have 10k miles on it before you know it.
Mind you, I haven't driven my truck in over a week now since I've been in Indiana. Just riding the Bandit everywhere, including 110 miles yesterday. I know, small potatos for you folk...
