I finally put this together on my site, although if any of you have gone into the SoFla forum none of this will be new.

VIVID, good luck on your ride. If I had to do it again I'd pick a weekend with more time and head out 1000 miles one way, stay overnight and go on with the rest of the ride. But it's nice to know 1000 miles are entirely possible - I should be heading out to Alabama soon and instead of stopping in northern FL like I did last time, I'll likely head up there in one shot now.
