I organize a little ride called the
FLAT 4 TOUR FLAT4TOUR.COM, it runs twice a year. Basically it's a weekend ride that starts out in the Chicago suburbs on Saturday morning and travels though the 4 states, IL, IA, MN and WI. It's a lot of fun and this is the
5th year running. We welcome any kind of riders, any kind of bikes, although the ride is mostly sportbikes. We run 3 groups, a fast, medium pace and slow group. So everyone can ride their own pace. This ride happens on RAIN or SHINE.
I have meeting places scheduled throughout the route and can pick up/meet up with riders in Dubuque, IL, Winona, MN and at the end of the route on Saturday in WI (June ride will be Osseo, WI and September ride will be Menomonie, WI). We can also meet up with riders on Sunday, the spot is not determined yet.
I run the same route every year, pretty much the best and curviest roads in the area. (I do not post the route on my website, I wouldn't want to be surprised by a friendly surprise visit from the local popo). The route will be available in a few weeks, you will only get the route if you have intentions of meeting up and riding with us.
This ride is organized for people from
chicagolandsportbikes.com and
sportbikes.net but others are also welcome.
Visit my website for lodging information, more information to come in a few weeks.
If you place an order for a
2005 FLAT 4 TOUR t-shirt before May 9th you can choose from 6 colors.
Hope to see you on the ride!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Anna

LOCATIONS
The
Osseo location is a tiny little town, don't expect much for entertainment, go there for the ride and good roads only. There isn't even a good place to eat near by, just a truck stop and a take out pizza place (they don't deliver) across the street. I don't think there are any bars near by, hopefully we can get some beer somewhere and maybe chill in the parking lot with a cold one.
The
Menomonie location is a college town, tons of college bars and many restaurants. The University of Wisconsin campus is 1.5 miles away. I would assume this is a party town, so if you like to party, this may be your ride.
Lodging for June 25th
Lodging for September 17
