Default Question about Tail Bags

Ok...I've got FS Rio Saddlebags, and a Nelson-Riggs Tank bag. I'm gonna be going on some long ass trips this summer and was wondering what kind of tail bag you'd recomend? I've seen some in the 40-65 dollar range, and I'm trying to keep it there, since I'm a HS student on a limited budget.

I would get the biggest one that’s available. If you are going on a short tour, just use the saddle bags and the tank bag only, longer tour take the three pieces of luggage.

I have the Nelson-Rigg tail tote, the thing is huge and not very expensive. I love it, has many compartments so little things don't get lost.

I got it from here: newenough.com MSRP: $79.95, they sell it for $65

how does it mount? I've seen some with bungees, and then I think some might work with the buckles that my FS saddlebags have...

The tote has adjustable bungees and does not attach to the saddle bags at all.

You CAN actually mount the "Classic" Tote to the "Classic" saddlebags, or mount it to the bike directly.

Nelson Riggs

I have 2 tailbags depending on how much I need to carry with. I keep the net on to keep it more stable, and I can slide my jacket liner under the net for more storage.
