Default Long trips in jeans

Anyone notice the seams really dig into you when you wear blue jeans on a long trip? I did a 200 or so mile trip the other day in blue jeans and it just about drove me nuts.

Gotta love my riding pants with the padded crotch and butt area.

Anything with seams will eventually start bugging you. I'm going to buy some padded bicycle shorts to wear under my clothes next year.

I dont have a problem with jeans annoying me on long trips. When I wear my leather pants, they start to bother me after about 100miles. They bunch up behind the knees and dont feel right.

The Icon riding jeans are great. Fit loose and are reinforced in high impact areas.

I wear army BDU pants when I ride long distance. Lots-O pockets, comfortable and durable. Much more comfortable than jeans.

I wear my Levi 505 jeans all the time. Did a 1300+ mile trip in 3 days a few months ago. When bunching occurred it just took a stand up on the pegs a lil jiggle and the road never stopped.

Do what ever you do but, don't forget your pants!

The longest ride I did in jeans was 6000 miles. I learned to take my wallet out of the back pocket and that some underwear work better than others.

I've had the jeans problem. I recently did a PA to SC and back trip and knew regular jeans weren't gonna work. I wore my BDUs (battle dress uniform/ offical camos) insdead. Worked perfectly. Rode through rain for two hours and a half hour laster they were completly dry. The protection aspect is questionagle though.
