Speed Triple To become a true icon is no easy feat. But from its very first incarnation over a decade ago the Speed Triple assumed just that status, mixing a primal three-cylinder core with sporting ability and an aggressive, stripped-down stance.

Default Speed Triple Speedo quirkiness

Hey there all, my speedo seems to be acting up every now and then. It's a digital style speedo and it will go blank every now and then and sometimes show the wrong speed, it does come back a few seconds later but it is starting to get irritating, checked the cables and it looks fine. Anyone know of issues with the digital speedo on Triples or any other Triumph?

I've read a few posts where people just had to get it replaced under warranty (something with four digits if out of warranty...USD too!).

Also, I have seen posts about moisture getting in there pretty easily. Maybe pop it open and see if there is any corrosion.

And welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the advice, no other problems with warning lights or other indicator lights, just the speedo. I know there have been a few recalls on some models but was not sure if the speedo would be one of them. She came out of the garage about 2 weeks ago and everything seemed fine, I don't think the charging system would be acting up but you never know. Hopefully it's something simple but am always prepared for the worst.

Thanks for the welcome
