Wink My b/f's new RSV 1000 R Factory

I found this bike on Ebay ~ Yep. Our local Aprilia Dealer told us we couldn't find one "anywhere"...sooooo, with that and his very disengaging attitude towards us about how he would treat us as customers if we didn't buy a bike directly from him.... like servicing my Aprilia as well....I thought, I'm just gonna see what I can find

I guess I'm limited as to how many pics per Thread ~

I'm interested in hearing more about your bike! From the first photo, and your description in your avatar, I'm guessing you grafted RS250 bodywork onto a Mille? If so I'm VERY interested in seeing pics! It sounds like an awesome project. I loved my RS250 so much, wish I wouldn't have sold it!

Edited: I'm on the outside and have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm just an aprilia wannabe. Either way, I want to see more pics

Awww....I'm so sorry you sold it! Here's some pics and some history of the bike

I'm extreeeeemely proud of the customizations made to my baby ~
You can be assured that no detail was left out--Even the brake calipers were ceramic coated Black to match ~

The first task to the customization was to have the frame, subframe, swingarm, wheels, triple tree, etc... powdercoated in a dupont Pearl Black. The following is a list of all parts powdercoated:

· Frame

· Subframe

· Swingarm

· Upper triple clamp

· Lower triple clamp

· Left clip on

· Right clip on

· Upper fairing bracket

· Brake and Clutch resevoir brackets

· Bar ends

· Brake pedal

· Shift lever

· Rear foot pegs

· Front brake calipers

· Rear brake caliper

· Fork legs

The powdercoating was just the first step in the process. Using a 1998 RS250 as a model, custom body work, paint, and decals were created to replicate the unique look of the RS. All body panels were removed, prepped, and professionally painted gloss black with several color and clear coats. Additionally, custom decals that exactly match the RS 250, were created, and installed under the clear coat for a smooth finish.

In order to create the "race" look, the front and rear turn signals were removed, and the holes left fiberglassed in order to create a streamlined look to the motorcycle. The signal lights were replaced with turn signal integrators in the headlight and tail lights. I can't stand normal, ugly, motorcycle turn signals!!! Now, the lights that were high beams act as front turn signals, and the standard low beam has been replaced with a dual element high/low beam high intensity bulb. In addition, the tail light serves as brake light, tail light, and turn signals for the rear.

Performance upgrades were also performed. These include:

· Full Arrow shotgun titanium exhaust

· Arrow chip (runs great!!)

· High flow air filter

· Brand new Dunlop 208's!

· Brand new metallic Brake pads (Front and Rear!!!)

· Fresh Mobil 1 oil and filter change

· Fresh brake fluid front and rear

· Fresh clutch fluid

· Frame protectors, AF1 Racing

Had to make it fresh as a daisy ~

This bike has been babied all its life, and the custom work was performed to an incredible level of detail. Not a single part was left untouched, and draws crowds wherever I go.

How's that? I'm not bragging about it LOL ~
