Thoughts on a Transition Helmet Visor?

Hey all.

I am a University of British Columbia student looking to collect some information on a potential motorcycle accessory for an upcoming term project. I would really appreciate some feedback from members of this forum and active sport bike riders in particular.

If you follow the link and quickly answer the questions that would help us out a ton. It only takes about 3 minutes and would help out a group of Canadian university students tremendously!

Transition Lens Survey

I know Bell offers something like this for a few of their helmets. I'm genuinely curious about the interest the riding community might have in a product like this.

Thanks guys!

I met Mr. Gravity, Mr. Momentum and Mr. Small Trees. These guys are assholes. If you can, don't do lunch with them. But if you do, you'll wish you had the gang with you.

The only thing stopping me from buying the transitions visor for my RS-1 is the price. I scratch visors too often to lay down that amount of coin for one.

Lol. I've bought 4 transitions shields now I think

Trashed 2 in crashes, one to road chips

Still worth it IMO

I always scratched previous visors when they were off the helmet.

I don't have to take this one off.

They don't get dark enough. I need it to be DARK during the day or I get headaches...

I agree, kw, it doesn't get as dark as the "dark smoke" shields I like. But it is oh so convenient!

I did the survey. I wish it had a comments section. I've heard mixed reviews from them. Some people love them, others say it doesn't get light or dark enough, which I've heard about transition glasses as well.

It didnt get dark enough at first. It either got better, or I got used to it.

I don't feel it needs to be darker after a few months of use.
