These helmets are AWESOME for the money. I don't own one yet, but plan on making a purchase in the future. I've tried the XR1R carbon and regular versions, fitment seems to be very similar to Shoei. They are probably the lightest helmets on the market, with unmatched peripheral vision. Changing visors is a bitch (requires tools). They are made in Portugal.
I got to FINALLY try them on during the motorcycle show. I agree, the feel is AWESOME, and they are VERY light. However, I dont agree that they feel like the Shoei helmets. To me, the X12 and RF interior feels sort of cheap, maybe cheap is not the right word; lets just say not plushy.
I wear Shark RSR2 and RSX helmets, so I am kind of spoiled when it comes to helmets. The Nexx X1RX carbon and the X1R does not feel as comfy as the shark, however I only test fitted the off the shelf helemet, and did not get a chance to use the additional pads to adjust the fitment.
If shark does not makes a comeback by spring/summer, I will be picking up a Nexx X1RX Carbon!
Oh wow, i didnt even notice that one before nfloor
