I actually had the suction cup come loose on me yesterday, while riding a fairly lengthy section of moderately-well-maintained gravel on my Ninjette. I had decided to attach a bit of string as a safety wire of sorts (tied to the flap over the keyhole on the gas tank), and I just noticed that all of a sudden I had something bumping against my knee. I reattached it to a slightly better location for suction (albeit slightly worse angle IMO) and it worked fine. On the Ninjette, the suction mount seems to only be happy on the tank; the plastics just don't provide enough grip. YMMV, of course, as I know that my buddy with a Hawk GT found the front fender to work quite well with the suction mount.
I'm liking the camera overall and thinking that it will work well for my primary use-case (recording track days for educational / video review purposes); I've also had some decent results recording rides in picture-every-two-seconds mode and loading all the images into iMovie as a timelapse movie (no Ken Burns effect, .2 sec per frame). I would like to get some more attachment options--I can't find a particularly good way to attach it to the swingarm on my Ninjette with the included bits, and I'd like a way to swivel the camera relative to the holders (the 90' pivot that comes with the kit is helpful, but it only deals with one axis of movement--I'd like to be able to rotate the camera on the same plane, either parallel to the suction cup or at a right angle to it--or both).
