Default Trashed my helmet...need a new one.

Well, unfortunatly I am in the market for a new helmet due to my crash. I'm looking in the 200-300 price range. I have an old CL-15 that is horribly noisy and just not comfortable anymore. The one I crashed in was an AC-12 and I loved it. However, I got that one a little over a year ago on a closeout and it appears that HJC no longer makes them. So my choices are between the new HJC FS-15 and the Joe Rocket series. Any reviews of either? Thanks!

Have you thought about a Scorpion EXO 700? Falls into your price range and really nice helmet for that price mark.

Exo-400 or 700. Both are in your price range (some even cheaper)

I'll have to head to the dealer to try them out. Thanks for the suggestions.

Competition Accessories

They have several Shoei/Arai/HJC/ect.... for great deals on close out... IE Shoei RF 1000 graphic for $299. Still trying to convince the wife I "need" a new helmet.

read your original post and first thing that came to mind was scorpion. Great helmet and can be well below your price range depending on model and color

Note the Motorcycle Closeouts clearance on the Bell Star, $500 marked down to $200. Thread should pop from last night when I posted it.

Look at their Shark RSR2 helmets. These retail for around $600, but they have some on sale for $300. I just ordered the blue muggeridge last week. I was looking at the Scorpion EXO-700, and wanted to spend no more than $250. But this was too good to pass up.

Well, I went to the dealer and tried on like 10 different ones including a EXO 700 and FS-15 among a few others. I really liked the Scorpion, but i guess my head is oddly shaped and it just didn't feel comfortable. So I ended up getting the HJC for around $200. I'm pretty happy with it and it seems to be pretty quiet on the highway. Thanks for the help!

The fs-15 doesn't have the sun shade. It would make sense given that the fs-10 does. I personally don't want that sun shade though.
