Any idea of what qualifies you to take a demo ride? Like do you have to be a certain age or have had you motorcycle licence for a certain period of time, etc.
Well I went and got mine! Just needed a motorcycle drivers licence and either bring a helmet or they'll give you one. I brought all my own gear though. Test drove a lightning XB12S. It was fast, but of course I'm used to a ninja 250. Go and test drive one people. Whole deal took like 2 minutes then I was riding. No pressure on you to buy anything it was great and the water pack thing is cool too!
I did that a couple years back when they were offering a Buell backpack. It was very quick and easy. Only downside was that for the test ride they only had a small single cylinder Buell which is only around 500cc, so the ride wasn't much fun. I'll stop in later this week and hopefully get myself a hydration pack. I could actually use one of those.

Don't let it get in the way of a good time.
Ya that pack looks pretty sweet - I just bought a $25-30 reservoir for my Ogio nodrag pack.
I'm thinking me or my girl could use a smaller dedicated pack for riding.
Thanks CMantis, a bud and I went today. I had a blast (pun intended) rode the 1125R
and the XB12X Lighting. I WAS SHOCKED, I liked the Lighting more. Now I wont be trading in my new R6 for one. But if I wanted a daily rider I would get one in a hart beat! For me the 1125R was a bit buzzy in it's feed back. I just could not find the right RPM.

You start out motorcycling with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
Some people are like slinkies; they're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
Third, after 11 pages of I just have to say thanks for the entertainment that you bring to the forum. Without Spil!z we'd all carry on intelligent conversations and never get to see the inner workings of the California justice system.
