Anyone have or know anything about these boots..Jafrum/Vega?
I'm getting my gear together on the cheap, was looking for a decent pair of boots and came across these Vega Nitro boots, anyone have any experience with these guys? I've never heard of Jafrum but they seem ok and have a good return policy, as long as they don't fall apart on me by the time I upgrade and hold up in an accident I figure its worth the $70..I'll probably upgrade to the Joe Rocket speedmasters or similar within a year anyway..

i've purchased some jafrum winter gloves. they were cheap, but have mostly held up. they are quite warm, but I doubt would be re-usable after a crash.

I've got a pair of the Vega Nitro (Nitro Vega???) touring boots and they're pretty good, IMO. They definitely, DEFINITELY aren't as protective as my Oxtar's but I'll tell you this...they're the most comfortable boot, casual or otherwise, that I've ever owned. Absolutely like pillows for your feet. And they work with my Icon Field Armor knee/shin protection, so that's a plus too.

Really, well that's good to hear about the comfort. I just hope they fit, I'm an 11.5 but they only had 11 or 12, so I went with the 12's. Should be ok, same happened with my current sneakers but after wearing them a while they fit fine.

Actually, I'm an 11.5 too and I got a 12. They fit perfect with normal socks on.

Yup you're right they fit good, a bit roomy but if I throw an insert in there it should be perfect. They are also really comfortable, actually almost more than my sneakers which cost more than these! Feel a little bit awkward to walk around in with the rounded off back of the heel but I'm not used to wearing riding boots.
They're also real nice, I wasn't really expecting much when I ordered but I am impressed with the quality they seem put together very well, good amount of plastic armor, reflective part on the heels and you can even replace the 4 "sliders", one on the toe, ankle and a small one up top, then another on the inside ankle. I don't know if thats a standard feature on riding boots I didn't research them too much, but I thought it was cool. The leather seems good quality and thick and they even came with bags to keep them in, like a helmet bag
It would be nice to have a removable liner, but can't get to greedy at only $70...probably the only thing I'd ask out of them at this price...maybe a stitched-on sole instead of glued since they can come apart after awhile. Have yet to ride in 'em but they seem great overall I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a decent boot on the cheap. Threw in a couple of pics, they look better in person than in the stock pics on ebay. sorry if they're too big

Don't sweat (no pun intended) the non-removable liner. My MUCH higher priced Oxtar TCS Sport boots don't have a removable liner either. In fact, after all the research I put in before buying the Oxtar's, I can't say I came across ANY boot that had a removable liner.

Oh cool, thought I saw a pair of A*'s with it. No big deal anyway, was just trying to think of things that might be missing that allow them to sell for so cheap, I was expecting a cheapo knock-off but these seem pretty durable
