well.. othing can guarantee your safety at any speed, but that looks like a decent selection of gear to me. I'd have no problem riding on the highway in that, though I woulda spent a little more money on a better helmet.... but it'll protect ya.
one thing i see wrong for highway speeds (or any speed for that matter) is no mention of boots...

If that is what your planning to get make sure the zippers in the jacket and pants will mate up together. They might be a different tooth or length. Though, if all else you can just sew in the other half from the pants into the jacket.

oh whups forgot to add that i ride with Oxtar SS performance boots.
The mating part... why is that so crucial? Becuase I have three different jackets and one pair of pants. it'dbe hart to mate them, unless i put on new zippers on all of them.
Hey, I have been looking into mesh/mesh-tex pants, because the current pants that I have (Tourmaster Caliber) are not at all good for higher temperatures. So, what's your opinion on your particular pants and mesh-tex in general?
Also, with the whole pants-to-jacket zipper thing. My jacket (Teknic Freestyle) does not have a zipper attachment, but my pants do and they also came with an extra zipper. So, could I just take my jacket to any tailor to have the zipper attached??

Yep, as long as they can work with leather. Some two piece suits the jacket side zipper is sewn onto a stretchy bit a fabric.

I think the mesh-textile pants offer adequate protection. They add lots of ventilation while providing protection to the impact areas and areas where you would slide. This is my opinion of course. I have yet to mate my teknic freestyle to my pants but I should be doing this relatively soon.
How are those pants in terms of ventilation/hot riding?
Nate
Wet: They are waterproof, BUT they seemed to have leaked a bit in the crotch area. Comes with waterproof liner.
Warm: I was riding with them in warm weather without the waterproof liner, but did not open the vents and they were a bit warm, otherwise fine.
Cold: They keep you warm with the waterpoof lining.
HOT: Havent' tested, but I would imagine with the venting that exposes the mesh you'd be fine. Should've worn them today since it was in the 60's.

Good info thanks, if you get out when its warmer and can comment on the vents that'd be great.
