SIDI Doha boots opinion.
I've been looking to pick up a pair of good street boots before the start of the riding season. The Sidi Doha boots caught my attention. I came across a pair of the Oxtar street boots at closeout prices at a few sites but they all had limited sizes. Does anyone have first had experience with these Sidi boots? Thanx...

Never heard of the Doha, so I looked them up on newenough's site. The only thing I don't like about them is their a low cut boot. They don't fully protect the ankle.
Sidi boots are top quality, and I personally have a pair of the Strada Evo Air, and Evo tepor waterproof boots.

I have a pair of Dohas, and I like them a lot for what they are. They're my "ride to the mall" boots for when I'm going somewhere I'll be walking a lot. Very comfy and they lace easily and securely (some laced boots are a PITA to get on/off). Frankly, probably no more protective than a good pair of work boots, except for the ankle plates. Sidi sizes run very true IMO, I'm normally a 10.5, and Sidi 45s fit me perfectly in both the the Doha and my Vertigo "real" boots.
I'd have a hard time paying list for them, though - I got mine for $80.

Did you get them from an online store?

I personally don't think it matters if you wear them with jeans. I've worn my oxtar ss perfo boots under jeans before (limited riding) and I'm sure it would hold up just the same since your jeans would tear right away anyway. But with moto pants, you'd tuck them in, so they wouldn't move/drag

You can't compare them to a full height boot, though - two different things.

(I got mine from a private sale, I've not seen them substantially below list anywhere.)

It's wasn't a matter if they would hold up or not which wasn't what I was concerned about. My issue is if they would be comfortable wearing under jeans.

I have the Strada Evo Tepor boots, it's basically the same boot but mine is waterproof.
I use them daily under jeans or pants and no problems at all...I even walk around in college with them all day long and they don't seem to become utterly uncomfortable, they're a nice boot that offers a little more protection than a low cut boot or riding shoe, while not being as stiff as a racing boot. A good alternative for commuting.

I've worn them under jeans with no problems.
Most of the time I wear them with my A* cargo pants, or Teknic suit.
Comparable sizing to my normal street shoes 10.5 us to 45 eur. Very comfortable, and easy to get on and off.
I've worn the low cut style of boots before, and they just don't offer enough protection for my taste.
