Default Icon Motorhead Jacket with Gloves Problem....Ideas?

I have an Icon Motorhead Jacket.
Its a nice jacket with thick leather but...

My wrists are small so it all bunches up inside my full length gloves.
Makes it kinda uncomfortable depending how tight I make the gloves.
I could just wear short gloves but I like the full length protection.

Does this happen to others?

I bet the sleeves are a little too long causing this but the jacket fits great everywhere else. I dont think i can hem the sleeves...Ill have to look into that.

Any Ideas?

Thanks
Rc

I have the same jacket, and fairly small wrists myself (for example I don't have to unsnap/zip the wrists to remove the jacket), but I don't have that problem. Your gloves don't need to be tight for safety, it's the wrist straps that keep them on. It does sound like the jacket is a bit long for you (that's one thing I like about it, I have long arms). My best suggestion is to pull the glove on with your arm elevated, that will push the jacket down towards your shoulder, and it probably won't bunch up once everything is in place.

BTW I know Icon has an iffy reputation on quality, but I've been very happy with this jacket. Good leather, materials, and design. For example, the jacket under the wrist zips is a full gore, rather than a flap that gets folded back the wrong way all the time. And the zip-in liner is fully sleeved rather than a vest, with knit cuffs that lie inside the jacket sleeve rather than sticking out where they'd get all wet and mucked up.

+1 to having the same jacket and the same problem... i have been riding with some icon shorty gloves, but just got some alpinestar sp1 gauntlet gloves for an upcoming track day and for the life of me, it's a struggle to get everything over/under each other.

oh well, i plan on getting a one piece and just using my short gloves with the jacket and my gauntlets with the one piece.

I wear my jacket over my full length gloves, try it, maybe it can be more comfortable

All the sleeves in the ICON jackets are a bit longer than other brands IMO. I think they really intend for short gloves to be used in place of the full guantlet gloves. The opening for the wrist is also very generous in the ICON Jackets, this may allow you to get your gloves inside the sleeves.

i have the same jacket also and i love the long sleeves i also have full gloves i think it looks better with the sleeve open and the gloves inside it wont change the safety aspect because the jacket is so thick try it

I have an Icon hero merc and A* SP1 gloves and tried at first to put them over the sleeves but it just doesn't work. When worn like that I felt that I was fighting to move so I started wearing the gloves inside the sleeves and now I have much better mobility and its more comfy
