Default Will 2 brands zip together?

I have an A* TZ-1 jacket and I was wondering since it has the zipper to attach a set of pants. I have lately been thinking of doing the track orientation school and I am needing a pair of leather pants.

So my question is simply will other brands of pants zip to my jacket?

yes, as soon as you get the required zipper sewn in. Off the rack, they will probably not mesh well but all you need to do is go to a tailor and have them sew a matching zipper into your jacket. A lot of pants come with the opposite side of the zipper for just such an occasion.

It's pretty easy to get a mating zipper for either a jacket or pants. Those are usually only 8" long or so, however. Make sure that the track day organizer for the event you want to attend doesn't require full circumference zippers which are much safer at speed BTW.

Most leather pants come with a mating half of the zipper. Most newer leather jackets and pants have both 360 and 8" zippers. Have your tailor do the 360 zipper not the 8", as RayOSV already mentioned.

Sometimes mismatched brands work. For example, AGV mates with JR (I know this because my friend has a set) with no sewing needed...they just fit.

AGV, JR, and Teknic USED to fit, until Teknic reversed the direction it zips.
