Painting leather jacket question

I have a joe rocket leather jacket that has some white on it. I was wondering if theres "DIY" way that I could color it black without damaging the jacket or have the black fade away after a few rides.

there's leather dye that you can use. I think I saw a thread on here a while ago about a guy dying the purple on his leathers black.

ok i've read a little into leather dyes and all, my next question is I want to make the white parts on my joe rocket black. Has anyone done this before or knows if i coat would be enough to make it black or would I need to add another after it dries?

hmm.......MaduroMistress draws stuff on her jackets using some sort of markers...let me see if i can dig the thread up real quick and tell you what she uses

i would only suggest this if you have a small area to cover

she said she's tested the durability of the markers and they hold up really good.

thanks for the link I might give it a go since the markers aren't that expensive. The area im going to color isn't too big but it ain't small either so I might order a few just incase 1 won't be enough. I just hope I won't see the marker streaks that are common when coloring big areas.
