Default Shoei RF-1000 vs. TZ-R

Anyone know if there are any differences in way of wind noise and weight? There is a color scheme from both models that I really like, so now I need to find out which one is really better any why. Only thing that would make a whole lot of difference for myself would be the noise issue that I mentioned.

thanks

I am wearing the Shoei RF 1000 right now , I had an Icon Mainframe before , I think my Shoei is pretty light but feels solid ( if that makes sense ) As for noise I find it let's in just enough noise so I can hear the bike ...which is a good thing i think but most times I plug in my ipod for long trips . My opinion : I love my Shoei it's like an orgasm for my head !!!!!!!!!!!lolol very comfy !

There are reviews of both on webbikeworld.com I'd try them both on and get the one that fits better. Don't worry about noise, you should ride with earplugs anyway.

I'm on my second RF series shoei. Very light, comfortable as hell, and quieter than any other I've tried.
I'm sure the TZ-R lives up to the shoei reputation, so I'd say get whichever one fits you better or has a better price

The RF-1000 seems like a better helmet:

http://www.shoei-helmets.com/road/helmets_road.aspx?h=3

The TZ-R lacks some of the features (and price) of the RF-1000:

http://www.shoei-helmets.com/road/helmets_road.aspx?h=4

The RF-1000 seems to have better ventillation and is likely lighter. Not sure if the shell shapes are targeted for different head shapes. Have you tried both on?

+1000 to ear plugs in either case.
