Default christmas!

i coaxed my parents into getting me some leathers for christmas saying as i don't have any real riding gear.

i want to get something decent, and saying as i am not paying for them, money isn't really an issue (to a certain point).

with parts you usually get what you pay for, but are leathers the same way?

for the most part yes. this doesn't mean you have to spend $2k though. look for nice, thick leather, CE armor, double and triple stitching, and most importantly a good fit. if money isn't an object, go for a custom suit versus an off the rack as this will provide the best fit

Yeah, you pretty much get what you pay for IMO. Decide on a price limit and see what you can get. I'd suggest lowering your sights enough to get some boots as well assuming you already have decent gloves.

i wish my parents would have dropped 800 bucks on me as a kid for christmas...

depending on your financial situation you can probably get something with boots for about that price or a little more.

check out denniskirk to see whats out there...

always check out ebay, you could get a used suit in great condition for a couple of bucks... 500 dollars less than list probably...

my advice -

2 piece leathers, good gloves, boots

thats what you are getting for christmas no if ands or buts young man!
