Default I wear a 10.5 shoe, what size boot do i buy?

Hey guys I am very new to the bike world, and I am spending more money on gear than I am on my bike...trust me it is a good thing! Here is my problem, I wear a size 10.5 tennis shoe, or a 10.5 boot. Alpinestars/Joe Rocket etc only come in full sizes, are we thinking i could squeze into a 10 or swim in a 11? How do they run? I am looking at the JR Orbit boots, but I don't know what size to buy.
Does anyone have any good advice on what boots to buy? I hate to say it, but I almost feel more comfortable with a tennis style riding shoe?
thanks in advance.

Try them on. Go to a local shop, if they are really too overpriced, get the ones that fit well online. At first riding with boots will be akward, but eventually it will feel just as natural as tennis shoes, don't worry!

Agreed. I also wear a 10.5 in a street shoe. The 10.5 A* ridge boots I were trying on were too small. I got the 11.5 and they fit great. The first few days were weird and a bit uncomfortable, but now I don't even remember I have them on half the time.

Ugh, I've had to ride a short distance in tennis shoes a couple times. I *hate* that feeling.

I wear a 10.5 as well, I wear a 45 in Dainese boots, 11 in Motoboss. Different manus have different sizing (ever tried Nike vs Reebok?). You're going to have to try them on.

like everyone else said, they're all different. I wear a 10.5 shoe normally. I have a pair of Tourmaster boots that are 11 and they are too big.

I wear a 10.5 wide shoe.
I reccomend SIDI boots in a 45. Fits me perfectly.
