Default How to Clean Leather?

I was planning on purchasing a commerical grade, readily available leather cleaner for my Oxtar boots and A* jacket. I have some crap on them and of course, want to clean them.

Either separate or combined liquid leather cleaner and conditioner. The stuff made for horse tack (NOT saddle soap) was recommened to me and works great for riding leathers.

I used a little soap and water for cleaning up small stuff like squished bugs...is this bad for the leather?

kinda dries it out but wont hurt it. you wanna keep leather "supple" that would require some kinda moisturizing conditioner every once and a while. you can actually let it get dry and add leather conditioner and it brings it back nicely so your not in trouble...
