Default Icon Gear

Anyone else here wear Icon? I have a green Timax mesh jacked and Pursuit Gloves. As well as Sidi boots and a HJC modular helmet. And yet I get called a wannabe STUNTER because I wear Icon.

Now, I haven't been riding long, (not since my first accident), but since when is Icon exclusive to the stunter scene?

This is not an isolated ocurrence(sp).

I've got the Icon t-mesh paints and a helmet I got for free that I use as a spare. The stuff is popular with the urban fast and the furious crowd, but I don't ride like that anddon't worry what other people are thinking. It's decent gear that looks good and seems to function pretty well. I'm happy with both the pants and the helmet. You can't stop other people from being stupid, so don't be bothered and enjoy your gear.

Hey don't sweat what people say. I'm by no means a stunter but I do enjoy running the twisties and driving fast and I have alot of faith in my ICON Tmax jacket.

I have the Icon Motor head Jacket, Icon Holligan Gloves. No one ever says anything to me. But I live in a small town and everyone knows me also.

I think it's funny that the first night I took the bike out, I had stunters come up to me calling me a poser. ALL of them were wearing Icon gear.

I don't sweat it. I just thought it was hilarious.

I have an Icon jacket and gloves and like them both. I really don't care what brand of clothing other riders wear so I wouldn't care what someone else said about my gear.

I have the ICON pursuit jacket and some tarmac gloves. Around here ICON is worn by alot of riders....including some stunters.....but most of the stunters I see dont even wear anything more than a helmet.

Just the simple fact that you wear gear is good enough. It's the "stunters" that ride with just shorts and t that really should be hassled.
Just yesterday in a down pour I was passed by two guys with no gear, just shorts and t's; on the expressway. I felt a lot better even though I left my rain gear at home. I got soaked, Hate to see what they looked like when they got to wherever.

Wow, your gear choices sound like my alter ego!

I wear ICON Pursuit GLOVES and Tarmac JACKET. How weird is that?

And yes, I notice a lot of bad vibes blazing towards Icon just on this site. It's kind of sad...I think it's the PEOPLE wearing the Icon that they don't like, secretly, and they decide to mask it as hating on the manufacturer instead.

Seems to me jackets and helmets are all designed to be "flashy"...even the MSF course guide tells you to do everything you can to choose bright colors and attention grabbing gear, to minimize the chance of people running over you.

For men who like pretty girls, i see a lot of hypocrisy on this board when other men post that they want things that look good. Please. They should all be sporting ugly girls with lovely personalities then, the way they talk like looks don't matter AT ALL. I thought my jacket was too "busy" cause it has the logo of different biking related things on it, but now it's grown on me and the jacket i would have wanted would probly have made me blend TOO well with the bike. Now I am matching the black and white in my helmet (hjc Fuse)...if I knew the Timax pants would fit me, i would get them to match the jacket and save myself the $200 extra I had to spend on Alpinestars pants...

To whoever started this thread ignore the haters. They are just vex they don't look as good as you heading down the street. Stunters wear whatever looks good...i can't tell you how many people i saw in georgia with the Yamaha blue and white leathers to match their blue and white r6 or r1...i guess they are hated on too for looking good WHILE being protected...can't please everybody...
