so i received the helmet a few days ago and have worn it since. not sure if im going to keep it yet, as it is a slightly too big, but nothing that a bandana can't fix.
comparison vs. HJC Sy-Max flip face helmet
PROS:
-since its a little big, it doesnt squeeze my cheeks and tires my jaw
-i don't have to worry about the visor coming up when i look back at 70 or above. no holding the visor, no weird head techniques.
-range of vision. its almost like you have no helmet on except for in front of your nose. my preipheral vision is greatly improved with this helmet, which is excellent.
-much more glasses friendly. i have to wear glasses, and i do not have to remove them to put the helmet on or take it off.
-lighter
-comes with a chin clip, out of box, instead of the D-rings.
-looks THE BUSINESS. really, you can just watch people drool over this thing. its great. listed last for being the least important really.
CONS:
-this thing is fucking LOUD man. i think its just cause its a little big. there is such chaos by me ears tht i feel a vacuum in my ear, like pulling at my eardrum. it gets shitty after a long ride at speed. however, the bandana thing rectified this to a certain extent, but ear plugs will totally eliminate this.
-ventilation is minimal. the only thing that vents other than the bottom of the helmet, is the hole on the middle of the visor if pulled up slightly. a direct stream up your nose.
-visor support. im not even gonna try to buy a smoked visor for this from a store or dealer.
-not actually street legal. not DOT or snell approved. doubt the police will catch me for this, unless of course they ride, and know their helmets. i still trust my head in it, the Euro eqivalents of those tests are even more strict and excessive, and it passed them with flying colots.
-less padded. though it seems way less padded than my symax, it has the things in all the right places really, no need for the rest to engulf your head. i guess this may be for extra ventilation?
all in all i really want to like this thing, and thats why i may keep it, but i feel that the right thing to do would be to sell it becuase of the fat that it IS just slightly big. the shape of this thing is for people with round, wider heads. while i can tell that its big on me because it wiggles, at some points it is tite, in certian head positions.
im just torn really. im gonna just keep it in great condition, keep wearing my bandana to not fuck the innards of the peice, and sell it after i try in in some summer rides. havent tried it in the florida sun yet.

I've always liked the looks of the roof boxer. The only reason that I never picked one up (U.K. helmet) is because I questioned the apparent (by looking at it) lack of ventilation and the sizing issues are a bit squirrely. Other then that it looks like a rockin' helmet.
That thing looks kick ass. I checked the prices and they want over 200 British pounds for one, that's close to $400 bucks! That's a lot of dough for a helmet, especially when I can get a Shoei on closeout deal for about half that.
I look forward to your review though. Since I wear glasses, that flip up chin bar might be the right thing. I could see paying something extra for a feature like that...
god that thing is soooo friggin sick! when i have extra money ill definately be getting something like that just to have it. lol. maybe a predator helmet instead.
