Default Where can I buy reflective tape to put on my jacket?

Do any of you guys know where I can buy some reflective tape or something like it to put on the back of my jacket? I want to create a design on the back or possibly put my screen name on the back and the added benefit is that it would be reflective for night riding.

Can anyone suggest a place or something similar to purchase??

Thanks!

Default Ebay it.....Cheap!

I ended up picking up a 2"x10' piece off of ebay for $10-12 with shipping. It's 3M Scotchlite and had my wife sew it on the the back of my JR Phoenix jacket and a stripe down the phoenix pants legs. It is Bright at night. I looked for it locally (colorado springs) with no luck and it was expensive on the internet and pretty much had to buy it in 100ft. bulk. Check out "3M" or "reflective tape" on ebay. Good luck!

Thanks chi I will do that...but my jacket is leather so do you think the stuff you have would work on mine--would it have to be sewn or can it be some how taped or velcroed to a leather jacket?

I don't own leathers yet, still shopping for 'em. But as far as I'm concerned if I ever go down the reflective tape is basically gone anyway. You may want to find a leather shop that has the capability to sew stuff on a heavier type leather and ask them if they could possibly glue as well. If I'm not mistaken you can also look at the 3M site and they tell you the sewing info on their reflective tape before you check out a leather store. i.e. how far away from the edge, stitch length, blah blah blah. Mine is sewn on mesh so it was handsewn on the foam portion on the back (black jacket and scotchlite for the foam pieces) and machine sewed on the legs.

Hello

I bought 5meters of this off ebay to do the same thing. His claim is that it is of the highier abrasion resistance than the standard. Who knows. I didn't complete payment until early January 7th (per our agreement) so I'm still awaiting delivery of the product. No hurries as the snow and road gravel prohibits riding for a few more months.

I was going for a pattern on the back, a ring on each sleeve, and runner down the side of each leg. I ride mostly at night, so a bit of extra visibility won't hurt.

You should be able to go to a local sign shop that does vinyl and they will sell you some to play with... Here are some pics, I also have it on my boots, and my helmet...

Rsixxy -
I have some reflective tape that we use for our rack labels at a Kraft Distribution Center. They are 2.5" wide and 11" long. I can get you as many as you need if you just want to experiment with it. Just pm me your address and I can mail them to you. Just let me know how many you would need.
